Internet-acquiring and omni-channel payment platforms

Often, when an online merchant is choosing a processing partner, the first thing that comes to mind is an omni-channel payment platform. However, omni-channel payment processing may not the best choice for a company working only in e-commerce industry. Omni-channel systems are often redundant in terms of functionality. The right thing for an online company trying to get a merchant account (or for an online merchant) may be to partner with a payment processing platform, specializing on internet acquiring, and not on omni-channel commerce in general. The basic functions offered by the processing partner of an online business should include support of the necessary merchant category codes, 3D secure, anti-fraud tools, and some other basic features (in contrast to a much wider and, sometimes, costly, set, included in an omni-channel system).
